A real clinical indication for selective spleen scrintigraphy with 99mTc-labeled red blood cells

Demonstration of the exact visceral situs in ambiguous conditions such as asplenic syndrome may be impossible with routine investigations. In our patient the correct diagnosis was made possible by selective spleen scintigraphy.
