Informed consent: some newer aspects and their relation to the specialty of radiology

Several recent court decisions have focused the attention of radiologists upon the medicolegal subject of informed consent. Some of the legal principles and precedents of this subject are reviewed, and the impact and implications of recent legal decisions considered.
