Radiographic changes in the posterior-superior iliac crests following bone marrow aspiration

The appearance of multiple lucencies in the posterior-superior iliac crests of patients in a bone marrow transplantation program is described. These benign lucencies should not be misinterpreted as bone destruction in patients with malignant disease who undergo multiple bone marrow aspirations.
