Wear particles: their value in knee arthrography

WG Sedgwick, LA Gilula, PA Lesker and LA Whiteside

The presence of particles in synovial fluid indicates an intra- articular abnormality and can lend support to a positive arthrographic diagnosis. These particles can be readily identified by gross examination at arthrography.
