Dr Honeyman obtained a PhD degree in 1987 from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kan. After earning her degree, she joined the College of Information Sciences at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa, as an assistant professor. She then moved to Gainesville, Fla, where she is currently an associate professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. As the director of informatics in that department, she is responsible for research and development in PACS, digital medical imaging, and information systems. Dr Honeyman has many interactive computer programs to her credit and has developed several software programs. She has served as a faculty member for many workshops and has published numerous articles, book chapters, and proceedings. In addition, she has received substantial grant support as a principal or co-principal investigator.

Please join me in welcoming Dr Honeyman to the masthead of Radiology. Her expertise will be an invaluable asset to us as we continue to develop our online version of Radiology.
