Index terms: Diagnosis Please Special Report
Diagnosis Please, introduced in April 1998 (1), remains a popular monthly feature in Radiology. We continue to receive hundreds of responses for each case and publish the names of those individuals who have submitted the most likely diagnosis. Additional cases are now under preparation, and we plan to continue this feature as long as we have authors who are willing to prepare the cases. Each case is submitted for peer review, as for other manuscripts.
Case 24 was presented in the March 2000 issue of Radiology, and its answer in the July 2000 issue. We have now identified, for the 2nd year of Diagnosis Please cases, one individual who submitted the highest number of correct answersSeyed Alireza Emamian, MD, PhD, from Washington, DC.

Dr Emamian has to his credit several publications, as well as many honors including a participant in the "Introduction to Research" sponsored by the RSNA, AUR, and ARRS; a prize from the Danish Ultrasound Society for his PhD research project; and a prize for the best presented paper at the Danish Radiological Society, to name a few. He is a member of numerous societies both nationally and internationally and is certified by the American Board of Radiology.
In his letter to me, Dr Emamian stated that his participation in Diagnosis Please has been responsible for his learning much "... by looking up the literature ..." to find the correct diagnoses for these "... challenging cases." Clearly, he has been successful in his learning adventure. In addition, Dr Emamian expressed his gratitude to his many mentorsDrs Mohammad Vafai and Ali Radmehr of Iran; Drs Viktor Hegedus and Jan Fog Pedersen and Professor Hans Henrik Holm of Denmark; and Drs James Teal, Michael Childress, Mark Baganz, Massoud Majd, and David Kushner from the United States.
We extend our congratulations to Dr Emamian for his accomplishments; he will receive a certificate (pictured below) in recognition of the same.
