Radiology 2000: David G. Disler Completes His Service as Deputy Editor

Anthony V. Proto, MD

Index terms: Editorial • Radiology (journal)

In the October 1998 issue of Radiology (1), I introduced David G. Disler, MD, as a Deputy Editor and, thus, as a member of the editorial team of Radiology. Prior to his appointment as Deputy Editor, Dr Disler had been an outstanding reviewer for several years while a member of the Department of Radiology at Albany Medical Center Hospital in New York. He joined the Department of Radiology at the Medical College of Virginia of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond in 1998. Unfortunately, he leaves the masthead as of this issue of the Journal. He is joining Commonwealth Radiology in Richmond, Virginia, where he will continue a practice focused on musculoskeletal imaging. In addition, he will hold the appointment of associate clinical professor in the Departments of Radiology and Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia of Virginia Commonwealth University.

Dr Disler’s insights into musculoskeletal imaging have been highly valued assets to me as Editor. His meticulous approach during the many and varied phases of manuscript review has clearly contributed to the quality of Radiology. As Dr Disler leaves the editorial office and the masthead as a Deputy Editor, we wish him every success in his new position. Although we will miss his contributions as Deputy Editor, we are fortunate that he will remain one of our reviewers. We look forward to his continued association with Radiology in that capacity.
