Assessment of Myocardial Function with Interactive Non–Breath-hold Real-time MR Imaging

Three-chamber long-axis views obtained with electrocardiographically gated BH-SSFP (Movie 1), real-time radial (Movie 2), and real-time spiral (Movie 3) sequences and harmonic two-dimensional ECHO (Movie 4) in a patient with an old anterior myocardial infarction.

Movie 1. Note the excellent image quality of the BH-SSFP view.

Movie 2. The image quality of the radial view is comparable to that of the BH-SSFP view.

Movie 3. The image quality of the spiral view is poor owing to artifacts associated with the gradient-echo technique.

Movie 4. The ECHO view has poor image quality in terms of depiction of the anteroseptal wall segments but improved quality in terms of depiction of the posterior wall segments.
